Seller's Description

Original U.S. 27 inch x 41 inch 1-Sheet Poster for the 1951 Francis Searle Hammer Thriller WHISPERING SMITH HITS LONDON (WHISPERING SMITH VS. SCOTLAND YARD), written by John Gilling and starring Richard Carlson, Greta Gynt, Herbert Lom, Rona Anderson, Alan Wheatley, Dora Bryan and Reginald Beckwith.

An example of the small-scale noirish thrillers Hammer/Exclusive were making prior to becoming the house of horror, Whispering Smith Hits London stars American import Richard Carlson as detective Steve 'Whispering' Smith. While on vacation in London, Smith is recruited by the secretary (Rona Anderson) of a businessman who believes his daughter's supposed suicide is more sinister. Likely involved are the girl's alluring friend (Greta Gynt), lawyer (Alan Wheatley) and fiancé (Herbert Lom).

The poster is in fine folded condition.
