Original U.S. 27 inch x 41 inch 1-Sheet Poster for the 1953 Mario Soldati Drama THE WAYWARD WIFE (LA PROVINCIALE), based on the novel by Alberto Moravia and starring Gina Lollobrigida, Gabriele Ferzetti, Franco Interlenghi, Alda Mangini, Renato Baldini, Marilyn Buferd, Alfredo Carpegna, Barbara Berg and Nanda Primavera.
Seduced by a lad who turns out to be a relative, Gemma (Lollobrigida) is tossed out of her home. Seeking security, she impulsively marries bookish science professor Franco Vagnuzzi (Ferzetti). Bored by her marriage, Gemma doesn’t realize the true value of her loving husband until it’s almost too late.
The poster is in very good folded condition with an uneven strip of brown paper at the bottom and minor warping.
