The official communiqué from Petrograd, dated September 5, supplementing the information already provided on the successes of the Strypa, added: "From the reports received, it appears that in the fighting which took place on August 30 in the region of the railway from Kozoff to Tarnopol, we owe our success particularly to our armoured cars equipped with machine guns, which, by an action full of sacrifices, threw a great disorder into the German troops and inflicted on them very severe losses.
