Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1970 Christopher Miles Romance THE VIRGIN AND THE GYPSY, based on the novella by D.H. Lawrence and starring Joanna Shimkus, Franco Nero, Honor Blackman, Fay Compton, Kay Walsh, Maurice Denham, Imogen Hassall and Norman Bird.
The story tells how the daughter of a staid Rector in the north of England, rebels against her family by having a relationship with a gypsy, and how "the voice of the water" triumphs in the end.
