over time the bridge of a violin can warp - especially in a forward curve from the feet upwards toward the finger board / scroll due to the pull of the strings under tension since the bridge is not placed equidistant between the two string ends. When this occurs, the only solution is a new fitted bridge. These bridges on sale are ideal for this purpose and should give years of service.
