Vic20 IC SN74LS04 Hex Inverter for location IC UC2
This may fix a corrupted display on a vic-20 - it also MAY NOT as it could be the vic chip itself or other logic faults.
Saying that when I repaired my vic20 & in hindsight I would start by replacing the cheaper logic chips first rather than the more expensive vic chip.
UC2 74LS04 LOGIC
"Screen character colours incorrect (scrambled). If very bad, entire screen
becomes garbled with flashing characters, vertical bars and random colours"
NEW ITEM & NEVER FITTED.If it does not fix your vic you will need to investigate it further.I can not offer any repair or troubleshooting advice.
