Malcolm Patterson Lisa Rinna (who was playing Billie Reed on Days of Our Lives at the time of this filming) is magic as the tragic Marielle, who is married unhappily to a real jerk (played deliciously by George Hamilton). Too bad that no sparks fly onscreen between Rinna and a miscast Robert Hays (who portrays the detective Marielle falls for). Speaking of Robert Hays, it's so weird to see him in such a quiet, dull role. I kept expecting him to turn into Ted Striker! Anyway, one of the better Danielle Steel films, and it's also worth checking out for the beautiful Canadian locales.
