Original Italian 40 inch x 56 inch Poster for the 1971 John Hough Hammer Horror Movie TWINS OF EVIL, based on characters created by J. Sheridan Le Fanu and starring Madeleine Collinson, Mary Collinson, Peter Cushing, Kathleen Byron, Dennis Price, Isobel Black, Damien Thomas and Katya Wyeth.
Real-life Collinson twins (and Playboy playmates) are the title duo inducted into a sinister vampire cult led by the queen of vampires Countess Mircalla Karnstein (Katya Wyeth). Uncle Cushing and his puritan Brotherhood behead one of the evil nieces and set about burning the other but a grisly fate awaits. The intriguing script plays on the contrast between the repressed do-gooders and the sexy vampires, and Hough’s fervent direction helps make this one of the most effective of Hammer’s 70s’ vampire films.
Poster art by Enzo Nistri (1923 - 2008). Older brother to Giuliano, Enzo began his career as a poster artist in the 1950s, producing many iconic posters like "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and “Notorious”.
The poster is in fine folded condition.
