Seller's Description

Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1974 Robert Altman Crime Drama THIEVES LIKE US, based on the novel by Edward Anderson and starring Keith Carradine, Shelley Duvall, John Schuck, Bert Remsen and Louise Fletcher.

Carradine and Duvall are the doomed lovers and misfits on the run in the 1930s. Altman directs with an amused eye and intensity, imaginatively using vintage radio programmes which define the period and mirror the characters’ dreams.

Poster art by George Gross (1909 - 2003). A great American pulp magazine cover artist. In the 1950s George Gross shared an art studio with the illustrator, Mort Kunstler, on White Street in the Tribeca warehouse section of Lower Manhattan.

The poster is in very good folded condition.
