Dear WORKBASKET Readers:
As I promised last fall, The WORK- BASKET would be publishing several designs from a special showing in London, England. This issue introduces the first design in the series, “Spring Blossoms,” shown on our cover. This is one of my personal favorites. Make it in your choice of color combinations, then sit back and wait to hear the stream of compliments from friends, family and even strangers.
The theme of our magazine for April, as proclaimed on the cover, is “Welcome Spring!” You’ll find knit and crochet tops decorated with seasonal flowers and berries, counted cross stitch designs depicting flowers and bees that can be used for place mats and napkins, even a book cover with a butterfly embroidery.
Make some extra time to weave a spring berry basket or craft whimsical gift tags when the creative mood strikes you. And, give your taste buds a change of pace by cooking the satisfying spring menu featured in the food section. This issue will make you forget the “cabin fever” of this past winter and anticipate the delightful seasons ahead.
