Bear tips:
We used plush fabric for the bears, which is 100% polyester and can burn or melt very easily if your iron is too hot.
We highly suggest you practice with some scraps to ensure the correct iron setting for your bears. We suggest a low setting. You may have to pin some of your bears, and then gently iron from the back. It’s a bit tricky, but the results are well worth the extra effort for this quilt!
When laying out the bear applique shapes, tuck the arms under the body. The legs and the head lay on top of the body
The paws, muzzle and inner ears are all cut from the leftover beige background pieces
After the blanket stitching is complete, stitch eyes and a mouth on either by hand or by machine.
You can use buttons if this quilt is intended as a wall-hanging, however if it is to be used by a child we recommend you leave off the buttons as they do present a choking hazard.
