Seller's Description

Original Belgian 18 inch x 14 1/2 inch Poster for the 1941 Herbert Wilcox Musical SUNNY, based on the play by Oscar Hammerstein II & Otto A. Harbach and starring Anna Neagle, Ray Bolger, John Carroll and Edward Everett Horton.

Sunny Sullivan (Anna Neagle) is a lovely lady who makes her living performing in the circus, crafting exciting song-and-dance numbers for the audience.
She meets and falls in love with Larry Warren (John Carroll), the heir to a very successful automobile company run by his very wealthy family but worries that his family will not approve of her if she lets them know what she does for work, so she decides to hide it from them. But while Sunny meets and gets acquainted with the Warren family, her buddies from the circusdecide to stop by, letting her secret out.

The poster is in very good condition with corner pinholes. It is printed on the reverse of a map of Europe. As with many vintage Belgian posters the top border has been trimmed off.
