Sepia real photographic postcard showing a view of Saint Nicholas' Cathedral at Newcastle-upon-Tyne in Northumberland, seen from the castle.
Published by W.H. Smith & Son, Newcastle-on-Tyne, Forth Series, No 89756 J.V., printed by Valentine & Sons Ltd, Dundee & London, photo registered in 1923.
Postally used on 11 October 1930 with Newcastle-on-Tyne cancellation on red one penny stamp and sent to ?. B. Hinchliffe, Bank View, Somerset Road, Huddersfield and with diamond postal census frank.
Good condition, with slight corner bumps, but 4mm tear to centre of bottom edge and some paper to the back where the card has been stiuck down resulting in a small amount of light rippling to the centre of the front.
