• Weight: 8g
• Condition: Shows quite a few creases and the edges are a bit frayed p but these could easily be hidden by placing it in a glass frame.
• General comments: This is with hindsight a rather ironic newspaper story title headline (an image) as although Columbia was the first of NASA’s space shuttles, launched in 1981 - unfortunately on its 27^th flight its heat shield system malfunctioned due to a hole being made by a falling piece of debris at launch and the vehicle and its crew of 7 were killed on 2003 Feb 1 during re-entry. The story on p80 is not about the shuttle, but about how microelectronics are helping out with fire safety systems. Not sure which STS mission this was or when it was taken, but obviously sometime from 1981-1985.
• For overseas buyers, you are responsible for any customs duty or import taxes.
• This newspaper clipping can either be kept as a historical momento, or if you trim the edges it would look nice placed flat behind glass in a frame – this would nicely flatten out any creases. As with any newspaper though any buyer would be advised to keep it out of the reach of direct sunlight in case the colours fade.
• For returns the buyer pays for the cost of repackaging and postage.
