Original 10 inch x 8 inch Black and White Portrait of JOHN CLEMENTS in the 1938 Victor Saville Drama SOUTH RIDING, based on the novel by Winifred Holtby.
A Yorkshire country squire on the verge of bankruptcy falls in love with a schoolteacher while exposing corrupt developers. John Clements is the councillor mixed up in the sleaze.
The portrait is in very good condition with a pinhole in each corner, two small ink marks in the left border and his name hand written in ink in the top border.
