This CD was produced by the Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology in Partnership with the Bird Conservation Network, a coalition of 17 Chicago area birding and conservation groups; the Morton Arboretum; and Audubon's Habitat Project. Funding for this CD has been provided by the Morton Arboretum, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, and individual donations. The CD was produced for the use of the volunteer monitors of the BCN Census, a year-round on-line census of bird populations in the Chicago Wilderness area, and as an educational tool for learning to identify birds by ear.
