Embroidery Machine Applique
Welcome to applique by embroidery machine. On this page are instructions for completing the applique blocks used in the Pocket Books and Carry All Bag. For the 4” designs, start with background fabric that measures 8” x 10”, and for the large design, start with background fabric that measures 10” x 14” or large enough to be able to hoop. Use a spray adhesive to attach a lightweight stabilizer to the back which may be left on after the embroidery is complete. Use threads that match or contrast to the fabric applique pieces, and use the same thread for the placement, tackdown, and decorative stitches.
On the CD is a page to print that shows the designs sewn out and thread charts.
Time to get organized with patterns for quilted books with lots of pockets to store knitting needles, crochet hooks, hand-sewing supplies, and a carry-all bag for odds and ends.
This pattern includes a CD with five embroidery machine flower applique designs in 4” x 4” size and one flower design with background stippling in 5” x 7½” size in ART3, ART4, ARTS, DST, EXP, HUS, JEF, PCS, PES, SHV, and XXX formats.
