For sale is the :
Original Smart / Getrag Gearbox Outer Casing - LH side
An alternative solution if you the common issue of damaged fastening threads / snapped off fasteners for the box mounting / clutch actuator / gear selector motor / position sensor
If you remove box and stand it with this casing facing upwards it can be removed and gearbox internals stay in place [ obviously you need to proceed with care!] - removing your damaged one and replacing it with this one enables you to retain the gearbox you know to be good AND avoids welding / helicoiling etc
And the carriage is much cheaper than for a complete gearbox
Note that the fasteners shown in pictures are there to show threads are good. They should not be re-used [and are not all the correct ones anyway - just the correct thread]
Please study the pictures carefully to ensure the part is correct for you as I do not accept returns unless the part sent is not the one in the pictures.
Note that picture 2 shows the complete gearbox, pic 3 shows the fasteners that need undoing to remove this cover, pic 4 shows fasteners out and locating dowel and pic 5 shows the cover removed and what the gearbox looks like with cover removed [ its only the cover you are buying]
