Simplicity Retro 1950s SEWING PATTERN 8799 Misses Simple To Sew Nightgowns XS-XL

Simplicity sewing pattern 8799, for Misses' retro 1950s nightgowns. This is a new pattern, but the design is taken from a 1950s original in the Simplicity archive. This pattern is rated as simple to sew.

Simple to Make 1950s gowns are sleeveless and neck edge features casing gathered with ribbon drawstring.

 View A gown features ribbon through casing at waistline which ties in bow as does ribbon at neck. Lace edging trims neckline, sleeves and lower edge, There are openings at lower edges of side seams. 

View C has ribbon bows at shoulders and ribbons at waist. View B ribbon at neckline ties in front and forms long streamers. 

Suggested Fabrics: Broadcloth, Challis, Cotton Lawn, Cotton Types, Crepe de chine, Silky types, Voile.
