Original 9 3/8 inch x 7 1/4 inch Still of VIRGINIA MCKENNA, EARL CAMERON & MARIE NEY in the 1955 Brian Desmond Hurst Adventure SIMBA, based on an original story by Anthony Perry.
Still by Harry Gillard. Gillard entered the film industry in July 1946 as a still-cameraman’s assistant to Wilfrid Newton at Denham Studios and Arthur Evans at Pinewood Studios and was stand-by still cameraman at both studios.
A European family in East Africa finds itself caught up in an uprising by local black Africans against their white colonial masters. Based on the Mau-Mau rebellion in Kenya in the early 1950s.
The still is in very good condition with a credit list once tacked to the reverse.
