Ours have been checkerboard cut, and it catches light like crazy -- bright sunlight makes it go berserk, and even in a low-lit restaurant, it can't hide. It insists on being seen, and does SUCH a marvelous job of it. At a hefty 12 carats, this is a pretty stone, bright and clear. In plain English, this is simply a very pretty stone, and it's well mounted in this Sterling Silver Pendant, simple basket mounting. This stone is set into a sturdy 4 prong basket. We cast our own mountings and will never use flimsy "snap tight" stuff... It allows the most show of stone for the least expense in silver. It's a good stable setting that doesn't set you back a month just to get one. ______________________________________________________________________ BTW, Since we make this from scratch after you order it, we have a lot of flexibility.
