Original British 17 inch x 11 inch Double-Sided Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1955 Robert Wise Drama THE SHRIKE, based on the play by Joseph A. Kramm and starring José Ferrer and June Allyson.
Most of the film takes place in a state hospital, where theatrical director Jim Downs (Ferrer) is convalescing after a suicide attempt. Downs' wife Ann (June Allyson) visits every day, ostensibly to offer support and comfort to her husband. In truth, Ann is the "shrike" of the title, tearing into Downs and mercilessly berating him for his lack of success. To the rest of the world, however, Ann is a self-sacrificing saint, because that's the side of her personality that she prefers to display. Unless Jim can escape Ann's harangues, he will be driven completely over the edge.
On the reverse is the 11 inch x 8 1/2 inch Trade Advertisement for the 1955 Nunnally Johnson Comedy HOW TO BE VERY, VERY POPULAR, based on the novel by Edward Hope and starring Betty Grable, Sheree North, Robert Cummings, Charles Coburn and Tommy Noonan.

Plus the 11 inch x 8 1/2 inch Trade Advertisement for the 1956 Lewis Gilbert Murder Mystery CAST A DARK SHADOW, written by Janet Green from her own play and starring Dirk Bogarde, Margaret Lockwood, Kay Walsh, Kathleen Harrison and Robert Flemyng.
After murdering his wife (Mona Washbourne) for her money, Edward Bare (Dirk Bogarde) marries a canny former barmaid (Margaret Lockwood) who proves less easy to dispose of.
The Advertisement is in very good condition with a vertical centre fold.
