Issued in 1979 by Arrow Puzzles (ref 5704) as part of THE GELDART COLLECTION
William Geldart was born in Cheshire in 1936. He is an artist with little formal tuition, but as his work shows he was surely born with a satisfying talent. During his early daysworking in publishing as an art editor, he built up a reputation as a fine artist. This enabled him to begin a new career as a full-time artist, specialising in studies of nature, a subject which used his skill to the full. Geldart works on many subjects and also uses a variety of techniques to carry out the many commissions that he is offered. The work we commissioned has been executed in the rarely used scraperboard style which we feel best displays his fine work and attention to detail.
