Original British 11 inch x 8 1/2 inch Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1955 Basil Dearden Ealing Studios Drama THE SHIP THAT DIED OF SHAME, based on the novel by Nicholas Monsarrat and starring Richard Attenborough, George Baker, Bill Owen, Roland Culver, Virginia McKenna, Bernard Lee, Ralph Truman, John Chandos, Harold Goodwin, John Longden, Alfie Bass, John Boxer and Stratford Johns.
A trio of ex-servicemen begin smuggling innocuous black market items into post-war Britain, but through greed they graduate to more sinister cargo. .
