Original British 11 inch x 8 1/2 inch Trade Advertisement from Kinematograph Weekly for the 1955 Melville Shavelson Biographical Comedy THE SEVEN LITTLE FOYS starring Bob Hope as Eddie Foy, Milly Vitale, George Tobias and James Cagney as George M. Cohan.
Eddie Foy was an American stage actor, musical comedy star, and vaudevillian who was a legendary figure of his time and who fathered a family of performers who went on to notable careers in motion pictures.
Cagney performed the role of George M. Cohan (an American entertainer, playwright, composer, lyricist, actor, singer, dancer and producer) free of charge as an expression of his gratitude to Eddie Foy, who had done Cagney a favour during his early vaudeville days.
