SEBASTION Miniature Williamsburg Couple 1975 - sculpted in 1950 by Prescott Baston. Perfect condition. Base is 2 1/2" wide. 3/ 1/4" tall.
this piece was sculpted as a special project for the Essex County National Bank in Peabody, MA. for use as gifts and incentives. Paint is slightly worn in places, otherwise, I can find no blemishes.
Sebastian Miniatures are a series of small castable ceramic (chalkware) sculptures or figurines first produced by Prescott W Baston Sr. in 1938 until his death in 1984. Each miniature produced is hand painted with meticulous detail. No two look exactly alike.
