A Great Ex-British Army Large Silvered Glengarry and Feather Bonnet Badge worn by the Pipe Major of the Scots Guards, Foot Guards Regiment of the British Army.
This fantastic large badge is new and unworn, in silvered white metal with brass and enamel centre piece.
To the centre is the cap star device of the Scots Guards, with the centre in enamel and brass, within a celtic belt circlet with the title SCOTS GUARDS.
A lovely badge with diamond cut to the cross and diamond sections of the cap star that really catch and reflect the light from this very detailed piece. It is outstanding.
To the rear are two fixing lugs, comes complete with long split pin.
The Scots Guards is a regiment of the Guards Division of the British Army and Ranked as the third regiment in the Guards Division, as such, Scots Guardsmen can be recognised by having the buttonsmon their tunics spaced in threes.
The regiment cherishes its traditions, especially on the parade ground where the scarlet uniform and bearskin have become synonymous with the regiment and the other Guards regiments. The regiment takes part in numerous events, most notably the Beating Retreat, Changing of the Guard, Queen's Birthday Parade, Remembrance Sunday and State Visits.
