Original Argentine 29 inch x 43 inch Poster for the 1948 Basil Dearden Ealing Studios Period Drama SARABAND FOR DEAD LOVERS, written by John Dighton and starring Stewart Granger, Joan Greenwood, Flora Robson, Françoise Rosay, Frederick Valk, Peter Bull, Anthony Quayle, Michael Gough, Megs Jenkins, Jill Balcon, Cecil Trouncer, Noel Howlett, Miles Malleson, Allan Jeayes, Aubrey Mallalieu and Guy Rolfe.

Sophie-Dorothea, wife of the future George I of England, unwisely falls in love with Count Philip von Königsmark, a Swedish soldier of fortune.

The poster art is by Osvaldo Venturi. (1900 - 1989).
Osvaldo Venturi studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts where he graduated in 1923. In the period between 1940 and 1950 he became the most prolific Argentine poster designer.

The poster is in good folded condition with slight wear in the top corners, minor separation at the cross folds and other minor faults.
