Seller's Description
Royal Palace & Houses : An Original Fold Out Book Token (early 1970’s)
- Era collected: Sometime in the early 1970’s
- Pages: 2 Sides but folds in 4
- Size 9.4cm tall x 13.4cm wide when folded or 9.4cm tall x 53cm wide when unfolded
- Weight: 10 g
- Condition: Used bit condition looks good except there is no book token attached any longer. It has probably been torn off the perforated line. No marks inside.
- Comments: This is a rare example of a book token in fold-out booklet format. Alas the token has gone, presumably spent on a book, but there is a page with a blank “To” and “From”. The booklet has a map of royal palaces and houses in London. The palaces and houses are illustrated in blue, black and white sketches. Colour illustrations of Windsor Castle, Balmoral, and Holyrood House are shown on the reverse side. There is also a table of the Kings and Queens of England.
