Not just another 'bulk standard' first day cover!  This one comes with a full provenance!

Back in the day when Royal Mail issued these commemorative stamps, I was Postmaster at ROWLY , near Cranleigh, Surrey. I was responsible for the Post Office and Village Newsagent/Stores, and my wife, daughter and I lived 'over the premises' - next door actually - in Rowly House.

With each issue of commemorative stamps, I ordered my own First Day Cover, addressed to myself at Rowly Post Office.

So this one's UNIQUE.  It's been in my family collection ever since - never before out of our hands!

(By the way, we sold the Post Office/Stores in 2004 - unfortunately it closed just a couple of years later).
