Elvis is tellingly depicted here at his lithe best with his signature haircut. Jailhouse Rock was the first British single to enter the charts at Number One! Elvis was born on the 8th January 1935 and became a pop and movie legendwith sales of over 1 billion records world wide whilst appearing in over 30 movies. Just when the world thought Elvis was consigned only to appearing in movies, he made a sensational comeback to live performance in December 1968.Dressed in black leather, Elvis went through his great rock and roll hits of the period to include "Heartbreak Hotel","All Shook Up" and "Hound Dog" amongst many others. The show confirmed Elvis once more as a live performer without equal and made the front cover of rolling stone.
