STB033  A fascinating rare souvenir from Buckingham Covers signed by SIX historic military admirals accompanying Winston Churchill's quote on the front cover. Signatures include Richard Hezlet, Ian McGeoch, IanMcIntosh, John Roxburgh, John Troup, and Iwan Raikes. Information on the reverse of the cover about HM Torpedo Boat No. 1, more generally known as Holland 1, which is displayed at the Royal Navy Submarine Museum in Gosport.This commemorative set of 4 stamps issued 10 April 2001, celebrates the Royal Navy Submarine Service and has a picture on the front of HMS Shark, forced to surface by bomb damage, being destroyed by enemy aircraft off Norway in 1940. Each signing is undedicated and fully authenticated by the publishers and it is in absolutely mint condition (as new).
