Answer From antwalte [+40] Wed 15 Jan 2025 12:06:39 (BST) Hi there, thank you for the question, The makers say that all modern 300, 400, 050 etc motors have a brush material on the commutator, In looking up the design of the modern motor I can tell you the commutators look to have a complete ring unlike the older ones but they have the same wire banks on the armature so where the brushes are not the same as we know them with springs etc I think they are directly connected to the input wires saving space and cost. Sorry this is all I can tell you that I can find out and deduce from the way they are. I hope this helps. Ty Phill
