Monochrome real photographic postcard showing a view of the Ras-El-Oued or Ras-El-Oueed near Gabès in Tunisia.
Published by Edition Dewitte, Gabès, No 8, c.1940s.
Postally unused, but with 12Fr red brown and dark brown stamp (of 1947), short message, and addressed to Eberhard Nitschke, 39 Wermingserstraße, Iserlohn, Westfalen, Deutschland. Sent by Hüther Raymond, an earth-sciences specialist at the University of Strasbourg. Eberhard Nitschke filed a patent for "obtaining deuterium-enriched water or hydrogen in the course of ammonia synthesis" in 1958.
Good condition, with very slight corner bumps, but a few large but light ripples to the surface.
