This sale is for a 1948, first edition of the book, "South - Aspects And Images From Corsica Italy And Southern France" by the late and great British author, William Sansom. This book was published by Hodder and Stoughton Limited and was printed in either London. The design is a hardcover with original black cloth / material (not sure which) with gold embossed writing on the spine. 

As mentioned, this is a First Edition making this book fairly rare and hard to find.

Former library copy and has a library stamp/crest on the inside of the front cover. The Overall condition is excellent, please see the pictures and the more detailed condition description of the book below.

Binding:- Excellent condition. Tight with no loose pages.

Pages:- All present, none missing.

Condition of Pages:- Excellent condition. No marks, no tears. There is library mark/stamp on the inside of the front cover. There is also some slight foxing.

Spine:- Excellent condition, some slight wear and tear and the top and the bottom. Slightly cracked in places (see pictures).

Front & Rear Cover:- Excellent condition though there are some slight marks on the rear cover (see pictures).
