We will pick colours at random and try to supply a varied mixture of colours for each order. We have a nice variety of colours including blue, red, blue leopard, brown leopard brown and more. We will send small young baby snails - Sizes will vary between 5-10mm

These little guys are fascinating and surprisingly entertaining to have in an aquarium. As well as their attractive colours and patterns they also do a great job in the tank, acting as a little army of cleaners, helping to clean up waste and excess food, eating algae, decaying plant matter etc. They are very hardy and easy to keep in both tropical and cold water aquariums and they will usually breed - ideal with most community fish, shrimps and other snails - just do not mix with fish that like eating snails such as puffers, large cichlids, clown loach etc.

For shell growth and health we recommend using snail calcium blocks or small cuttlefish - I prefer the latter as they are more natural and these are available in our shop - simply pop one in the tank and it will float around and eventually sink - or if you wish you can weigh it down and hide it with a rock. The cuttlefish will provide a calcium boost for your snails without affecting water conditions or fish. UPON DELVIERY OF YOUR SNAILS PLEASE PUT THEM INTO YOUR TANK STRAIGHT AWAY. THEY TRAVEL WELL BUT THE COLD AND STRESS OF TRAVEL CAN INDUCE A SEMI HYBERNATION AND THE QUICKER YOU GET THEM INTO YOUR TANK THE FASTER THEY WILL COME ROUND AND COME OUT OF THEIR SHELLS. FAILURE TO PUT THEM INTO THE TANK UPON RECEIPT MAY RESULT INA  LONGER RECOVER TIME OR DEATH OF THE SNAILS.
