Seller's Description

Original 10 inch x 8 inch Black and White Still of ANTON WALBROOK & MILES MALLESON in the 1948 Thorold Dickinson Fantasy Horror Film THE QUEEN OF SPADES, based on the short story by Alexander Pushkin.

Walbrook is fine as the poor soldier wiling to sell his soul for the secret of winning at cards. A remarkable scary film with great visual style thanks to Oliver Messel’s baroque sets and Otto Heller’s photography.

The still is in very good condition with a synopsis tacked to the reverse.
