Seller's Description
This is a postcard showing a “bird's eye view” of Fort Knox, Kentucky, USA, including Entrance Drive, the Cavalry Barracks and Motor Park. It was posted in 1941 to an officer serving with the 67th Armoured Regiment, Fort Benning, then part of 2nd Armoured Division. The unit served later in North Africa, Sicily and the North-west Europe campaign.
The card is in fair condition, with minor wear to the corners and edges, and some marks on the back. I am not sure of the significance of the large blue ‘4’ on the back.
