Seller's Description
This is a postcard showing a view of a “gunner's gang” repairing an ammunition hoist on “US flagship Olympia”. This is almost certainly the protected cruiser USS Olympia which was the flagship during the Battle of Manila Bay in 1898 during the Spanish-American War (see more here). The card was published by Gale & Polden and posted in (I think) 1911.
The card is in fair condition with minor wear to the corners and edges, and some marks.
