Seller's Description

This is a postcard showing three British soldiers sitting at a table playing cards, with various bottles on the table.  It may be in a barrack games room - there are what appear to be boards for chess or draughts on the furniture behind them.   Their uniforms appear to date from c. WW1 or perhaps a little later.  The bottles seem to be wine, perhaps meant to suggest somewhere on the Western Front ?

The photo does seem very “posed”, and well composed.

The card is in fair condition with minor wear to the corners and edges, and a few marks.
