Seller's Description

Original British 9 1/2 inch x 7 1/2 inch Still of JOYCE GRENFELL & GEOFFREY DUNN in the 1949 Frederick Wilson Comedy POET'S PUB, based on the novel by Eric Linklater.

An Oxford poet is convinced to become manager of the Pelican Pub, after complaining about the food and service.

Still by Harry Gillard. Gillard entered the film industry in July 1946 as a still-cameraman’s assistant to Wilfrid Newton at Denham Studios and Arthur Evans at Pinewood Studios and was stand-by still cameraman at both studios.

The still is in very good condition with minor surface marks with a brief synopsis tacked to the reverse.
