This personal CD player is a Philips AX 5203. It is a very nice unit and contains a great range of features that enable you to replay your CDs with the minimum of fuss.
Features included are the common stop, play, pause,next track/forward search, last track/reverse search. A handy program feature is fitted and this lets you arrange track replay in the order that you want or alternatively you can select the random option and the tracks will replay in a mixed and random order.

These features are fitted around an oversized and informative LCD panel. This shows track number, elapsed time, total replay time etc. The main control cluster is finished in a chrome effect and the lid features a carbon fibre pattern look. To the edge Philips fit a rubberised trim which usefully acts as a bumper.

Looking at the lower casing, and its fitted controls you'll find a switch marked as DBB....this stands for Digital bass boost, and as you'd expect is a circuit that boosts the low frequency audio content.
A pair of electronic switches are fitted that control the units volume level either up or down. These are linked to a standard 3.5 mm mini earphone jack.
The base of the player holds the shock protection switch....Philips call this ESF, and next to this the commonly found hold switch.

The player comes with an inline wired remote control unit and this contains the play,stop,next trackorward search, last track/reverse searchand pause controls. The original supplied Philips Earphones are also present.

The players audio quality is excellent> The reproduction is very strong, the frequency response is very wide and the stereo mis extremely lifelike. The sound is never harsh and the separation of each individual instrument is superb.

The player is powered by 2 X AAA Batteries (not supplied) or can be powered with a 4.5 volt DC power supply (not supplied) into the units DC input jack.

Take a look at the supplied photos and you'll see that the player is in excellent condition. It shows only very slight signs of previous use, and everything operates as intended. This is an extremely nice CD player. It will replay cdr discs and the track access times are very rapid.
