Text from the free encyclopedia WIKIPEDIA may appear below to give a little background information (internal links may not work) :
*************
Peasenhall is a village and a civil parish in the Suffolk Coastal District, in the English county of Suffolk. The population of the Civil Parish at the 2011 Census was 517.[1] It is neighboured by nearby Sibton and Yoxford, and lies on the A1120 tourist route. It was the location of the Peasenhall Murder.
The parish church of St Michael's dates from the 15th century, although much restored in 1860. It is a grade II* listed building. [3]
Peasenhall has two butchers shops (JR Creasey/ Emmetts), a post office/ general store (Mace) and an antiques shop.
Apart from the church, buildings of architectural interest include the "Ancient House" and the New Inn, a Landmark Trust property.
Peasenhall has become famed for being the home to several thriving peafowl families. Both peacocks and peahens can be found roaming the village throughout the year and are joined by numerous chicks from June onwards.
