Original British 11 1/2 inch x 8 1/8 inch Trade Advertisement for the 1949 Peter Baylis 60 minute Newsreel THE PEACEFUL YEARS 1919-1939, introduced by Emlyn Williams with the voices of Maurice Denham, Peter Madden, James Hayter, Ann Codrington, Stuart Hibberd, Betty Hardy and The People of Britain.

Hour Glass dissolves to Painting. 1918 crowds cheering end of war. Soldiers returning home, marching, on vehicles, leaving ship. Famous war leaders, Allenby, Jellico with Smuts, Beatty, Marshal Foch, Haig giving out medals. Victory parade London 1919. Graphic 8,000,000 Dead. War graves. Unknown warrior arrives London. Gun salute. Cenotaph unveiled by George V. "21,000,000 Maimed". Wheel chairs and wounded war veterans, men on crutches with one leg. Relaxing on the Thames, Boulter's Lock.
