Seller's Description
1874 BUSTLED DINNER GOWN
Patterns of History 1998 c The State Historical Society of Wisconsin 1998
Size: 8 - 10 -12 Details on photo 3
Package includes patterns for a bodice, skirt, and overskirt.
The pattern has many of the typical features of an early 1870s dress including a tight-fitting, short-waisted bodice with peplum and coat sleeves, a bustled apron-style overskirt, and a skirt with straight front and full back. The original was made from bright blue silk faille and trimmed with dark blue velveteen and white satin.
I bought this copy pattern from from a seller in the US and as I so often do, I didn't make it. I did make something similar. Included are the full instructions and the contruction details etc are provided.
The pattern is unused and in as new condition. The envelope is a bit bashed as it is large – 33” x 25”
