The front cover of this book has a bad scrape on the top Left corner (see picture) The book has a few dents and small creases throughout (See Picture). There are small oil stains on the rear cover. I see no other markings or stains in the book.

This 28 page issue features a splendid collection of mascot dolls, each with a delightful display stand depicting an appropriate little scene.
The Brownie and Guide enjoy the great outdoors beside a roaring camp-fire, while at the theatre the Ballerina takes a bow before the footlights. As the Sailor and Lifeboatman prepare to go to sea on the quayside, the Policeman and Fireman are on duty in the High Street. Meanwhile, Santa delivers a tiny teddy on the snow-covered rooftop, the Nurse attends at a patient’s bedside and the dashing Footballer goes into action on the football pitch.
The dolls average 24cm [9in] in height and there are full instructions for all the little details which are a joy to knit — so HAVE FUN!

General materials required
Oddments of double knitting yarn [ USA, knitting worsted weight: Australia, 8 ply] in colours stated in the instructions. Each basic doll requires about 30g [loz] total weight of yarn oddments.
Good quality washable stuffing: 85g [3oz] required for each doll; 30g [1 oz] required for the upright support on each display stand.
A pair of tweezers [useful for turning small knitted pieces right side out and also for inserting small amounts of stuffing].
A pair of compasses for drawing circles.
A red colouring pencil for shading cheeks.
A black pencil with a soft lead, for marking the knitted pieces.
Cardboard, such as cuttings off washing powder packets and breakfast cereal packets. The plain side of the cardboard packaging should always be placed against the knitted sts. If the knitted piece is light in colour, glue a piece of white paper to one side of the cardboard, or both sides if necessary.
Glue — use an all-purpose, quick-drying clear adhesive such as UF-IU.
Felt — small oddment of black is required for the Sailor’s cap badge and brown for the Brownie’s badge.
Knitting needles required
A pair of 3mm [No 11, USA 2], use this size for all the pieces, unless otherwise stated.
A pair of 4½ mm [No 7, USA 6].
