This personal portable cd player is a Panasonic sl sx281c, the transport controls are found on the lid and grouped between these is an informative LCD panel that shows current track status such as track number, elapsed time etc. A replay mode button can also be found here as well. The player comes with random and memory replay features.
The side casing of the player is fitted with features such as a hold slide switch that when set to the on position will prevent the electronic controls being accidentally activated. As standard 3.5 mm mini phones jack is fitted and its output is adjusted by selecting either the up or down volume control button found on the lid grouped together with the main transport functions.
The lid is opened by sliding the open switch so as to release the catch that holds the spring loaded lid in the closed position.
The rear centre casing hold the units 4.5 volt DC power input jack. The player is operated by using 2 X AA Batteries (not supplied) or alternatively a 4.5 volt DC power supply (not supplied) can be connected to the already mentioned DC power input jack.
 
The sound quality produced by this player is excellent and Panasonic include their 40 second shock memory to assist the transport to cope with sudden movement. A useful sound eq circuit is also fitted.
The player will play cdr discs that are of good quality and branded and not burnt at speeds higher than 8X and it was tested using a quality disc that was burnt at 8 X speed playing up until the 80 minute point where it replayed perfectly.Please take a look at the supplied photos where it can be seen that the unit is in excellent condition, showing barely any signs of previous use. It is in unmarked condition, and it functions perfectly being free of any defects.
In common with any other Cd player this one will not reliably replay dirty/damaged CD discs. CDR discs can be reliably replayed that are quality brand named and burnt at speeds of 8X and lower on correctly functioning CD drives. The electronic shock circuit fitted to this player is very effective, but will not operate when extreme levels of g force are applied to the casing.
