Seller's Description

Original British 11 inch x 9 inch 16 page illustrated Brochure for the 1957 Basil Dearden Ealing Studios Drama OUT OF THE CLOUDS, based on the novel "The Springboard" by John Fores and starring Anthony Steel, Robert Beatty, Margo Lorenz, David Knight, James Robertson Justice, Eunice Gayson, Gordon Harker, Bernard Lee, Isabel Dean, Melissa Stribling, Marie Lohr, Michael Howard, Megs Jenkins, Jill Melford, Nicholas Phipps, Esma Cannon, Abraham Sofaer, Sidney James, Jack Lambert, Terence Alexander, Cyril Luckham, Charles Farrell, Lloyd Lamble, William Franklyn and Katie Johnson.

During a day at an airport in London, many complications arise, involving both passengers and airline crew members. Pilot Gus Randall (Steel) is a compulsive gambler who is caught up in a smuggling ring as well as a love triangle; Nick Millbourne (Beatty) is the chief duty officer who wants to get back in the sky and vies with Gus for the attention of stewardess Penny Henson (Gayson); and passengers Bill Steiner (Knight) and German Leah Rosch (Lorenz) cross paths on opposite journeys; after their flights are grounded by bad weather, they fall in love. Nick and Penny also find happiness together.
