Original watercolour painting - THE OLD CURIOSITY SHOP (Holborn, London) by GW Collins
A beautiful original British artwork of a famous London shop - immortalised by Charles Dickens and still standing today! - dating to c.1910, and professionally mounted in a gold wooden frame with glass and mount. The painting was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1914, most likely in the summer exhibition.
The picture is signed and dated in the lower right hand corner.
In very good condition - absolutely beautiful, wonderfully painted and there's no spotting or browning on the painting, although there is a small amount on the mount.
Apologies for the blurriness of the photos - with my flash on, the glass produces a reflection which renders the print invisible, so be assured the actual painting is beautiful!
