Original French Resistance Proclamation Leaflet. - Operation Overlord.

Circulated shortly after the Normandy landings, this rare leaflet calls for a national uprising against the enemy German forces. Directives are given to occupy factories and offices, disrupt transport means, free imprisoned patriots, and replace the Vichy regime. The call to arms is followed by instructions on how best to succeed: form small combat groups of 8 men only, do not accept pitched battles, move constantly, attack the enemy only by surprise, withdraw quickly, cut the railway lines, destroy their signals, wreck the trains, cut power lines, blow up vehicles, lay ambushes in the streets, etc. 

Folded in half (previously folded in quarters), stained, rubbed and creased, some edge-wear.
